CTC Events

September 

Our very own Sam Taylor, members of the Marshall County Sheriff’ s Dept., students, staff, and many more supported CTC at our annual blood drive.  We registered 86 people!!  Huge shout of to the Career and Technical Center students and the Holly High students who came down in massive amounts to give blood. Thanks to Mr. Cravin Turnage for allowing students to give blood in support of CTC.

On Thursday, October 20th, Northwest Community College’s Enrollment Specialist, Ms. Lyzz Hobbs and Career and Technical Education Counselor, Ms. Jones, visited the Career and Technical Center and gave a presentation ( all three blocks) to our CTC students. They shared enrollment requirements and orientated the students about NWCC.

CTC STEM students support Red Ribbon Week by electing to be Drug Free!

We would like to sincerely thank all of the colleges, universities, and businesses that came out in support of our annual College and Career Fair.  A huge shout out goes to the seniors, juniors, and sophomores who were absolutely AWESOME!  They came dressed appropriately, their behavior was excellent, and they gained valuable knowledge from the representatives.  On behalf of Ms. Susie Brown, Director of the Career and Technical Center, and Mr. Cravin Turnage, Principal of Holly Springs High School… “We are so deeply honored to have had all of you supporting us at our college and career fair; thank you all for helping to make the fair a huge success!" 

CTC students, including CTC King (Anykiel Milan) and CTC Queen (Ziresha Folsom),  load up cars to deliver can goods and non perishables collected from CTC students, to the Holly Springs CareNow Food Pantry, directed by Mrs. Rolanda Lester.

CTC canned goods/ non perishables competition results were as follows:
3rd Place: Educator Prep I and II (Instructor Sadie Campbell)
2nd Place: Business Marketing & Finance I and II (Instructor Jansen Pegues)
1st Place Winners: Health Sciences and Health and Clinical Services (Instructor Nurse Kimberly Fox)
